Overview

Toro Energy Limited is proposing to extend the Wiluna Uranium Project located near Wiluna, Western Australia, through shallow open pit mining of two deposits at Millipede, approximately 30 kilometres south of Wiluna, and Lake Maitland, 105 kilometres south-east of Wiluna. Mining from the two deposits would occur over a period of about 12 years and produce up to 1200 tonnes per annum of uranium oxide concentrate.

An Environmental Scoping Document has been prepared in accordance with Western Australian Government procedures and is released for public review.

The Environmental Scoping Document describes the proposal, identifies the preliminary key (most important) environmental factors or issues, outlines the work to be undertaken to predict the environmental impacts and identifies the relevant policy context.
