Brockman Syncline Proposal - Public Environmental Review
Overview
Hamersley Iron Pty Limited is proposing to develop additional above and below ground water table mine pits to sustain operations at three existing operations:

The proposal is located approximately 60 km west-north west of Tom Price, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
An Environmental Review Document (ERD) has been prepared by Rio Tinto Iron Ore on behalf of Hamersley Iron Pty Limited, in accordance with Environmental Protection Authority procedures and is released for public review.
The ERD describes the proposal, examines the likely environmental effects and the proposed environmental management procedures associated with the proposed development.
