Public Environmental Review - Proposed EMRC Hazelmere Wood Waste to Energy Plant
Overview
The Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) is proposing to build a wood waste to energy plant at the Hazelmere Resource Recovery Park in Lakes Road, Hazelmere. The proposed plant will indirectly heat residual wood chip to high temperatures in the absence of oxygen to produce valuable resources such as biochar and renewable electricity.
