North Star Magnetite Project Extension - Additional Information

Overview

FMG Iron Bridge (Aust) Pty Ltd is proposing to extend existing operations at its North Star Magnetite Project, which is subject to Ministerial Statement 993 issued under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1986. The proposal is located approximately 110 kilometres southeast of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

An Environmental Review Document (ERD) has been prepared by FMG Iron Bridge (Aust) Pty Ltd in accordance with Environmental Protection Authority procedures and is released for public review.

The Level of Assessment was set at Referral Information with Additional Information (4 weeks public review). The additional information published for public review is required for:

· The EPA's assessment of the potential impact on flora and vegetation, subterranean fauna, terrestrial fauna, inland waters, greenhouse gas emissions, social surroundings.
