Overview

Tassal Operations Pty Ltd is proposing the expansion of existing barramundi farm operations at Cone Bay to seven new sites spread across the Buccaneer Archipelago, located north of Broome and Derby in the Kimberely region.

The proposal includes the development of sea-cage infrastructure and sea-cage fish production. The proposed expansion will be staged over a 10-year period.

Additional assessment information has been prepared by Tassal Operations Pty Ltd in accordance with Environmental Protection Authority procedures and is released for public review. 

The additional information describes the proposal, examines the likely environmental effects and the proposed environmental management procedures associated with the proposed development.
