East Rockingham Waste to Energy Facility Revised Proposal - Public Environmental Review

Overview

New Energy Corporation is proposing to construct a state-of-the-art Waste to Energy Facility to process up to 330,000 tpa of Municipal and Commercial and Industrial Waste that is currently directed to landfi ll and produce 28.2 MW of electricity and approximately 60,000 tpa of road base materials.
 
A Public Environmental Review (PER) has been prepared by New Energy Corporation in accordance with Environmental Protection Authority procedures and is released for public review. The PER describes the proposal, examines the likely environmental effects and the proposed environmental management procedures associated with the proposed development.
 
The ERD describes the proposal, examines the likely environmental effects and the proposed environmental management procedures associated with the proposed development.
