The EPA determined not to assess the proposal. No significant environmental impacts are anticipated. The proposed pipeline would be constructed within existing car parking bays and road verges, adjacent to an area that is within an EPP Lakes boundary.

Overview

The Water Corporation is proposing to construct 75m of DN 375 gravity main, and 585m of DN  250 pressure main. The pipeline commences at the junction of  Harris Road and Cammilleri Street and connects at the proposed discharge manhole 1144 at the junction of Peel Terrace and Edwards in Busselton.

What happens next

Following the seven day public comment period and consideration of any comments received, the EPA will decide whether or not this proposal requires environmental impact assessment and, if so, what level of assessment will be applied.

The Chairman's decisions on level of assessment are released each Monday on the EPA's website.
