Caves Road Yallingup Sand Extraction

Overview

Cape Sand Supplies Pty Ltd proposes to extract, screen, and haul sand from a site located adjacent to Wyadup Road, approximately 5.5 km south of Yallingup.

The proposal includes the development of a 9.14 ha sand mine over five stages across a five-year period, with an excavation to a depth of up to 14 m below ground level.

The proposal will result in the disturbance of 0.25 ha of native vegetation, with no groundwater extraction or dewatering proposed. Operations will generate up to 200 daily truck movements via Wyadup Road and the Caves Road intersection.
