Overview

The proposal is to construct and operate a wind farm and linear infrastructure to provide renewable energy to Fortescue mining operations within the Pilbara. The proposal comprises of wind turbines, 220 kV transmission lines, substations and switchyards, 33 kV reticulation lines, a borefield, roads, pipelines, corridors of overhead lines, battery energy storage, accommodation camps, wastewater treatment plant, optional airstrip and supporting infrastructure.

The Proposal is located approximately 40 km southeast of Marble Bar and 90 km east of Fortescue’s Iron Bridge Project in the Shire of East Pilbara and Nyamal Native Title determination area. The development envelope extends across the Eginbah, Panorama, and Corunna Downs pastoral leases.

The proposal would include a total disturbance of 2,318.80 hectares including 1,290.68 ha of permanent clearing and 1,028.12 ha of temporary clearing across a development envelope of 98,772.61 ha.
