The EPA determined not to assess the proposal. The potential indirect impacts to Threatened Ecological Communities can be managed under Part V of the EP Act and the EPBC Act. The TEC is protected in a proposed conservation area.

Overview

The City of Wanneroo proposes resources extraction and industrial land development at Lot 9000 Flynn Drive, Lots 41 and 9003 Mather Drive and Part Lot 600 Wattle Avenue in Neerabup, City of Wanneroo.

What happens next

Following the seven day public comment period and consideration of any comments received, the EPA will decide whether or not this proposal requires environmental impact assessment and, if so, what level of assessment will be applied.

The Chairman's decisions on level of assessment are released each Monday on the EPA's website.
