Kojonup Wind Farm Development
Overview
The proposal is for the development of the Kojonup Wind Farm (KWF), consisting of 33 wind turbine generators (WTGs), a battery energy storage system (BESS), substation and associated infrastructure. A series of access tracks and corridors for underground cabling will connect the wind turbines, BESS and substation. The proposal includes an approximately 20 km underground 132 kV transmission line which will connect the proposed substation to the existing Kojonup substation.
The proposal is located approximately 20 km south-west of Kojonup in the Shire of Kojonup, Western Australia.
The proposal has a disturbance footprint of up to 184 hectares (ha) within a 3,816 ha development envelope. No more than 4.54 ha of remnant native vegetation clearing is required within the development envelope.
