The Environmental Impact Assessment Practice Guide Assessment of Proposals in Western Australia under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 came into effect on 1 January 2026.

This Practice Guide describes what the EPA takes in to account when determining the appropriate level of assessment, if it decides to assess a referred proposal.
