Overview

The proposal is to construct and operate a new multi-use entertainment and sporting precinct at Burswood Park.  

The precinct will include: 

  • a new outdoor amphitheatre for live music and other events;  

  • a multi-use track for motor racing (including a one 3-day Supercars event per year), cycling and community sport;  

  • a multi-use event building, incorporating function facilities, meeting rooms and event spaces; and  

  • enhanced transport and connectivity links with Optus Stadium and the wider Burswood Park precinct. 

Why your views matter

At this initial stage of the EIA process, comment is simply sought on whether or not the EPA should assess a proposal and, if so, what level of assessment is considered appropriate.

What happens next

Following the seven day public comment period and consideration of any comments received, the EPA will decide whether or not this proposal requires environmental impact assessment and, if so, what level of assessment will be applied.
