Rosslyn Hill Mining Paroo Station Lead Mine Hydrometallurgical Facility

Overview

Rosslyn Hill Mining Pty Ltd is proposing to expand their operations at Paroo Station to install a hydrometallurgical facility to convert lead carbonate concentrate to lead metal (ingots). The proposal is located 30 km west of Wiluna (Shire of Wiluna).

The proposal includes an additional clearing of approximately 400 hectares, and the exportation of the product through the Port of Fremantle.

Why your views matter

At this initial stage of the EIA process, comment is simply sought on whether or not the EPA should assess a proposal and, if so, what level of assessment is considered appropriate.

What happens next

Following the seven day public comment period and consideration of any comments received, the EPA will decide whether or not this proposal requires environmental impact assessment and, if so, what level of assessment will be applied.
