Sand and Limestone Extraction Project, Nowergup

Overview

Urban Resources Pty Ltd proposes to conduct sand and limestone extraction at Lot 107 Godel Road, Nowergup.

The site is located approximately 2.6 kilometres east of Alkimos in the City of Wanneroo and is expected to be operational for 10 years.

Site infrastructure includes a mobile crushing and screening plant.

The proposal includes a total disturbance of 13.94 hectares of native vegetation.

Why your views matter

At this initial stage of the EIA process, comment is simply sought on whether or not the EPA should assess a proposal and, if so, what level of assessment is considered appropriate.

What happens next

Following the seven day public comment period and consideration of any comments received, the EPA will decide whether or not this proposal requires environmental impact assessment and, if so, what level of assessment will be applied.
