Tredrea Workers accommodation Village

Overview

Catalano Green Energy Pty Ltd (the proponent) is proposing to construct a portable 101 single person workers accommodation unit on Lot 28 Tredrea Place, Myalup, within the Shire of Harvey.

The Development Envelope (approximately 40 hectares) includes Tuart Woodlands and Forest of the Swan Coastal Plain and Black cockatoo foraging habitat. 

The proposal includes groundwater abstraction, onsite PVC solar and battery storage for electricity generation and a wastewater treatment plant.  The proposal does not include clearing of remnant vegetation within the Development Envelope.

Why your views matter

At this initial stage of the EIA process, comment is simply sought on whether or not the EPA should assess a proposal and, if so, what level of assessment is considered appropriate.

What happens next

Following the seven day public comment period and consideration of any comments received, the EPA will decide whether or not this proposal requires environmental impact assessment and, if so, what level of assessment will be applied.
