Overview

Phoenix Energy is proposing to build a Waste to Energy facility in the Kwinana Industrial Area. The proposed facility will generate renewable energy and recover other resources from up to 400,000 t/yr of residual Municipal Solid Waste otherwise destined for landfill disposal.

Hard copies of the PER main document may be purchased for $10.00 (including postage and packaging),and a hard copy of the Part B Appendices document may be purchased separately for $10.00 (including postage and packaging). Alternatively, a CD version containing electronic copies of both documents is available free of charge (including postage). Hard copies and CDs are available for collection from:

A drop-in Community Information Day will be held on Tuesday 1 July 2014 (between 10am – 4pm) at the Darius Wells Centre in Kwinana, followed by an open day at the project site, on Wednesday 2 July 2014 (between 10am – 6pm). Details will be published on the Phoenix Energy website, along-side the PER documentation, as indicated above.

Why your views matter

A Public Environmental Review has been prepared by the company to examine the environmental effects associated with the proposed development, in accordance with Western Australian Government procedures. The Public Environmental Review describes the proposal, examines the likely environmental effects and the proposed environmental management procedures.
