Pilbara Bulk Ore Transportation System BOTS

Overview

Mineral Resources Limited propose to develop the Pilbara Bulk Ore Transport System (BOTS) to deliver iron ore mined from the Iron Valley Project (approximately 90 km north-west of Newman) 330 km to the Port Hedland Inner Harbour for overseas export.

What happens next

Following the seven day public comment period and consideration of any comments received, the EPA will decide whether or not this proposal requires environmental impact assessment and, if so, what level of assessment will be applied.
