West Erregulla Seismic Survey

Overview

Warrego Energy Pty Ltd proposes to carry out a three dimensional onshore seismic survey within exploration permit EP 469, approximately 50km  southeast of Dongara and 300 km north of Perth.  The proposal has already been approved under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act 1999 and under the Western Australian Environmental Protection (Clearing of Native Vegetation) Regulations 2004.  The decision of the Minister for Environment in respect to appeals against the grant of the vegetation clearing permit is at the following link: https://secure.dec.wa.gov.au/appeals/index.html

What happens next

Following the seven day public comment period and consideration of any comments received, the EPA will decide whether or not this proposal requires environmental impact assessment and, if so, what level of assessment will be applied.
